In the food additive industry, iron content is the core indicator measuring the purity and high-end nature of silicon dioxide products. For a long time, the iron content of domestic food-grade silicon dioxide has generally been within 500ppm, with a few enterprises achieving around 200ppm. However, relying on independently developed core technology, Zhongqi Silicon has successfully achieved mass production with iron content ≤100ppm (typical value 50ppm), becoming the only enterprise in China capable of stably producing this grade of ultra-low iron silicon dioxide.
Behind this technological breakthrough is five years of research and development and an investment of over 20 million RMB by Zhongqi Silicon. Addressing the two core problems of traditional processes—"high iron content in raw materials and secondary pollution during production"—the company has innovatively developed an exclusive process system of "three-stage magnetic separation + high-temperature and high-pressure composite acid leaching + all-ceramic closed production":
• Raw material end: Uses high-purity quartz ore purified 7 times, removing more than 99.5% of magnetic iron-bearing minerals through gradient magnetic field separation
• Purification end: Adopts 180℃ high-temperature and high-pressure composite acid leaching technology to dissolve inclusion iron inside the quartz lattice
• Production end: Replaces all equipment with ceramic and polymer materials, completely eliminating secondary iron pollution from steel equipment
More notably, ZLSILW58BF not only leads in iron content but also far exceeds national standards in heavy metal indicators: lead ≤1mg/kg (national standard ≤5mg/kg), arsenic ≤2mg/kg (national standard ≤3mg/kg), and total heavy metals ≤5mg/kg (national standard ≤30mg/kg). It fully complies with the strictest international standards such as U.S. FDA and EU E551. This technology has obtained national invention patent authorization, filling the technical gap in domestic high-end food-grade silicon dioxide.
